Huayhuash Range — Technical
The climbing route
A less-traveled, more remote ascent at the western end of the Huayhuash range — for those looking for something different from the classic Cordillera Blanca routes. Tap a stage to see it on the profile.

Huaraz → Gashapampa (Huayhuash Range)
Transfer and approach through the western end of the Huayhuash range to the Gashapampa base camp, with views of Jirishanca and Ninashanca.

Gashapampa → Diablo Mudo Summit (5,350m)
Climb up moraine and then glacier to a summit with two points (north and south) — a quiet, little-traveled route, a good acclimatization option for bigger objectives.
Descent: the same route back down to base camp (~2–3h), on summit day itself — return to Huaraz in the following days depending on the chosen circuit.
