The Huayhuash trek on mountain range is one of the most beautiful treks in the world - and it's easy to believe. The villages Pocpa and Llamac are usually the trailheads for this trek. The entire length of the Cordillera Huayhuash ranges only 30 km but within its compact area lays amazing towering peaks. At almost every turn, you come face to face with glistening vertical walls of ice, snow and rock. Beautiful lakes, different kind or births and Keep an eye out for the massive Andean Condors and for Siula Grande 6,344 m.s.n.m, the site where popular book and motion picture "Touching the Void" took place!.

DAY 01: HUARAZ – CHIQUIAN – LLAMAC - POCPA - CUARTELHUAIN 3100 - 3600 - 4180 meters

We will start the trip at 5:00am. Approximately to the south side for Huaraz. Passing for the different district like; Recuay, Ticapampa, Catac and Conococha at 4100m. Then will travel to the east side and south East to Chiquian at 3400m. Where you can to buy something, the travel take 2 hours then we have to down for about 1 hour and the go up until passing Llamac and finally Pocpa village where we will start to walk and meet our local coworkers we will go up from 3,600 mt. till 4,,180 for about 4 – 5 hours to the camp side Cuartelhuain, along this route we will passing the small Pallca mine, arriving to the camp side around 4:30pm approximately. From here we will see the Ninashanca Mountain in the south side. Overnight camping at 4,180mt.(04 - 05 hours walking)(04 hours driving)

DAY 2: CUARTELHUAIN - CACANAN PUNTA - MITUCOCHA (4,180 - 4,700 - 4,230 mt)

After our breakfast we will start walking up toward Cacananpunta pass at 4700 m, when we just reach it we will be on the continental divide, as well as we will enjoy taken amazing pictures about deep valleys, hills and snowcapped peaks. Then we will descend to our next camp at Jancapampa with amazing view of mount Jirishanca and mount Ninashanca to background. Overnight camp at Mitucocha. (05 - 06 hours walking)

DAY 03: MITUCOCHA - PUNTA CARHUAC - CARHUACOCHA ( 4,230 - 4,650 - 4,140 mt)

Today trek is on easy terrain until reach Punta Carhuac pass at (4650m), from this pass we will be able to have breath- taking views of the highest peaks of Huayhuash such as: Yerupaja (6617m) and the famous Siula Grande (6344m), Hirishanca, after that we will start walking down until lake Carhuacocha, which is truly gorgeously place, scenic campsite with astonishing mountain view to the back ground. Overnight camp at Lake Carhuacocha. (05 - 06 hours walking)

DAY 4: CARHUACOCHA - SIULA PASS - HUAYHUASH CAMP (4,140 - 4,830 - 4,350 mt)

As every day after breakfast we sill start hiking and this day is one of the best in the Huayhuash Circuit because will enjoy the spectacular sunrise, water lake is reflecting the mountain imagen after we will keep walking up toward Siula view point from where we will enjoy the most fabulous breath taking views behind of three glacier lakes as Siula, Quesilococha, Cangracocha then we will keep walking up hill till the pass Siula. again the post cards pictures views and the other cordillera Raura amazing place to stay for ever enjoying the view and finally downhill passing the lake Carnicero until Huayhuash camping at 4330 m. (06 - 07 hours walking)

DAY 05: HUAYHUASH - PORTACHUELO PASS - VICONGA CAMP (4,350 - 4,750 - 4,360 MT)

We start walking up toward spectacular pass of Portachuelo de Huayhuash, we will see on the way mount Puscanturpa and mount Trapecio, over the pass we will enjoy the view of the Cordillera Raura, and then we will descend towards the largest Lake Viconga until Vigonca camp site. In the afternoon we will be able to enjoy taking shower and swimming in hot spring close our camp site. (04 - 05 hours walking)

DAY 06: VICONGA - CUYOC PASS - SAN ANTONIO - PAMPA ELEFANTE (4,360 - 5,000 - 4,200 mt)

This day we will walk through the second highest pass of our trek, after a few days of walking above 4000m your body is already well acclimatized to cross the Punta Cuyoc pass, from the pass we will have the most impressive views of the mountain, and then we will continue descending the steep section to the flat-bottomed grass valley, then we will ascend to the San Antonio viewpoint at 5100 m, it is the famous route to see the best sunset with the most impressive mountains and a valley full of colors from there we will have a splendid view over the peaks, the glacial lakes and the deep valley, finally we return by the same path. to the Elephant Camp and camp where we will spend the night, near the mountain whose height of the camp is 4500 meters above sea level. duration of the walk 8-9 hours approximately.

DAY 7: PAMPA ELEPHANTE - RUTA ALPINA RUTA PASO SANTA (TRAVESIA) HUAYLLAPA - (4500 - 5200 - 3500 mt)

After a good breakfast, this day we will be able to see the famous Apina route where you can see from very close the mountain of (SIULA GRANDE), this mountain is famous for being part of this great movie, we will be able to see the valley where this great story happened and the mountain of (SIULA GRANDE 6344) (touching the void), this day we will cross the valley of (CUTATAMBO)

Until you reach Huayllapa in a town in the middle of Huayhuash there are 21 km approximately 9 to 10 hours of walking, this day you will sleep in a hotel, it is a hotel built typical of the area, a hotel in a house of the locals, so that you can also use electricity to charge your cell phones and shower you can sleep after many days of sleeping in a tent it is more comfortable to sleep in a real house, this expense is covered by the agency as a courtesy for you and support for the locals.

DAY 8: HUAYLLAPA - PASO TAPUSH - CASPAPAMPA (3,500 - 4,750 - 4,450 mt)

This day I will have a very interesting climb, to make it much more pleasant you have to enjoy every minute.

This day After breakfast we start walking from Huayllapa, towards the Tapush pass, enjoying the views of the mountains on the way such as: Cerro Diablo Mudo, Susucocha lake after days view of the mountains of the Cordillera Blanca, while we descend to our camp, which is nearby. Quenual forest with a small, almost homey air. (05 - 07 hours walking)

DAY 09:CASPAPAMPA - PASO YAUCHA - JAHUACOCHA (4,450 - 4,830 - 4,050 mt)

This is and another beautiful day considered one of the best views of the trek. After breakfast, we will start walking towards the Punta Yaucha pass, from the pass we will enjoy the most spectacular views of the mountains, such as: the majestic Yerupaja hill, and even the condor. If we are lucky, we will continue descending enjoying the spectacular view of Lake Jahuacocha and Mount Jirishanca to the Jahuacocha camp. We will arrive at the camp around noon and we will enjoy the full afternoon of views and short walks around Lake Jahuacocha (05 - 06 hours of walking)

DAY 10: JAHUACOCHA - PAMPA LLAMAC - LLAMAC HHUARAZ (4,050 - 3,300 - 3,100 mt)

OOur last day we will start walking towards the Pampa Llamac pass at 4300 m, where we will rest to take the last photos and take a short break before starting to descend a steep path to the town of Llamac, where our private transport awaits us for the drive. Huaraz. (04 - 05 hours walking) (04 hours driving).
