he Huayhuash trek on mountain range is one of the most beautiful treks in the world - and it's easy to believe. The villages Pocpa and Llamac are usually the trailheads for this trek. The entire length of the Cordillera Huayhuash ranges only 30 km but within its compact area lays amazing towering peaks. At almost every turn, you come face to face with glistening vertical walls of ice, snow and rock. Beautiful lakes, different kind or births and Keep an eye out for the massive Andean Condors and for Siula Grande 6,344 m.s.n.m, the site where popular book and motion picture "Touching the Void" took place!.

It's not an easy hike, but the spectacular views of the surrounding mountains, turquoise blue lakes, and breathtaking landscapes are totally worth the effort.

DAY 1: HUARAZ - CUARTELHUAIN - CACANAN PUNTA - MITUCOCHA (4,180 - 4,700 - 4,230 mt)

We will start the trip at 4:00 am. approximately to the south side by Huaraz. Going through the different districts like; Recuay, Ticapampa, Catac and Conococha at 4100m. Then you will travel to the east and southeast to Chiquian at 3400m. Where you can buy something, the trip lasts 2 hours, then we have to go down for approximately 2 more hours and go up to pass Llamac and finally in (CUARTELHUAIN height 4180 masl. we start walking

for this day we have a pass called (Cacananpunta at 4700 m) when we get to it we will be in the continental divide, and we will enjoy incredible photographs of deep valleys, hills and snowy peaks. We will then descend to our next campsite at Jancapampa with an amazing view of Mount Jirishanca and Mount Ninashanca in the background. Overnight camp in Mitucocha. (05 - 06 hours of walking)

DAY 2: MITUCOCHA - PUNTA CARHUAC - CARHUACOCHA (4,230 - 4,650 - 4,140 mt)

Today the walk is on easy terrain until we reach the Punta Carhuac pass (4650m), from this pass we will be able to have impressive views of the highest peaks of Huayhuash such as: Yerupaja (6617m) and the famous Siula Grande (6344m), Hirishanca, after from that we will start walking to Lake Carhuacocha, which is a really beautiful place, a picturesque camp with an amazing view of the mountain in the background. Night camp at Lake Carhuacocha. (05 - 06 hours of walking) This day you can also take the alpine route of the 3 lagoons where you can see fossils during the journey, it has a panoramic view of the Carhuacocha lagoon and the three lagoons.

This route lasts approximately 6 to 7 hours, highest point (high 4800 masl.)

DAY 3: CARHUACOCHA - SIULA PASS - HUAYHUASH CAMP (4,140 - 4,830 - 4,350 mt)

Like every day after breakfast we will start walking and this day is one of the best in the Huayhuash Circuit because we will enjoy the spectacular sunrise, the lake of water reflects the image of the mountain, then we will continue walking towards the Siula viewpoint from where we will enjoy . The most fabulous and impressive views behind three glacial lakes like Siula, Quesilococha, Cangracocha, then we will keep walking uphill to Siula pass. again the postcard photos passing views and the other Raura mountain range incredible place to stay forever enjoying the view and finally downhill Carnicero Lake to camp Huayhuash at 4350 m. (06 - 07 hours walking)

DAY 4: HUAYHUASH(4350)--TRAPEZIO(5040)--PAMPA ELEFANTE(4500) --ANTONIO(5100)

this day we get up early for the Trapasio pass at 5,041 m, this is one of the alpine routes because it is not included in the classic huayhuash route-- with an optional additional 40 minute walk to reach the glacier this additional is a great option because We reach the snow and then continue a little higher near the snow where you can see a panoramic view of a chain of mountains. Then descend past 5 beautiful lakes to reach Cuyoc camp at 4,400m. Approximately 6-7 hours of walking to reach the camp. It is also optional to take a 2-hour hike from the camp to the San Antonio pass at 5,100 m. This option is to be able to see one of the famous sights, which is worth it but always from time to time it is good.

DAY 5: PAMPA ELEPHANTE - ALPINE ROUTE PASO SANTA ROUTE (TRAVESIA) HUAYLLAPA - (4500 - 5200 - 3500 mt)

Until you reach Huayllapa in a town in the middle of Huayhuash it is 21 km approximately 9 to 10 hours of walking, this day you will sleep in a hotel, it is a hotel of typical construction of the area, a hotel in a house of the locals, so that you can also use electricity to charge your cell phones and take a shower you can sleep after many days of sleeping in a tent it is more comfortable to sleep in a real house, this expense is covered by the agency as a courtesy for you and support for the locals.

DAY 6: HUAYLLAPA - TAPUSH PASS - CASPAPAMPA (3,500 - 4,750 - 4,450 mt)

This day After breakfast we begin to walk from Huayllapa, towards the Tapush pass, enjoying Mountain Views on the way such as: Cerro Diablo Mudo, Lake Susucocha after days view of the mountains of the Cordillera Blanca, while we descend to our camp, which It is close. DAY 7: CASPAPAMPA - YAUCHA PASS - JAHUACOCHA (4,450 - 4,830 - 4,050 mt)

This is and another beautiful day considered one of the best views of the hike. After breakfast, we will start walking towards the Punta Yaucha pass, from the pass we will enjoy the most spectacular views of the mountains, such as: the majestic Yerupaja hill, and even the condor. If we are lucky, we will continue down enjoying the spectacular view of Lake Jahuacocha and Mount Jirishanca to the Jahuacocha camp. We will arrive at the camp around noon and enjoy the full afternoon of views and short walks around Lake Jahuacocha (05 - 06 hours of walking)

DAY 8: JAHUACOCHA - PAMPA LLAMAC - LLAMAC -HUARAZ (4,050 - 3,300 - 3,100 mt)

Our last day we will start hiking towards the Pampa Llamac pass at 4300m, where we will rest to take the last pictures, and take a short break before starting to descend a steep path to the village of Llamac, where our private transport awaits us to Drive Huaraz. (04 - 05 hours walking) (04 hours driving).
